At Broomhill Dental, we want to build lasting relationships with our patients. We will be getting to know your teeth intimately, so let us start start by introducing our dentists...
My primary aim at Broomhill is to welcome each patient and to put at ease those patients who dread a visit to the dentists. I pride myself in being sympathetic and caring; only too willing to listen to the needs of my patients. I enjoy my work immensely; a feature which becomes apparent in the enthusiasm and commitment I show to all aspects of my work, be it simple and straightforward cases through to involvement in procedures of a highly complex nature. I offer treatment of a very high standard regardless and to ensure that this will always be the case. Since graduating from Glasgow University in 2007 I have continued to upgrade my qualifications in areas such as teeth alignment, root canal treatment as well as in cosmetic dentistry. I am not one to sit back on my laurels, with this in mind and to further assist me to maintain and possibly improve the service I offer at Broomhill, I welcome patient feedback in whatever form is considered appropriate.
Since qualifying from the University of Glasgow in 2007 I have dedicated my time to postgraduate training in-order to provide the latest technologies and techniques. I really enjoy all aspects of dental treatment but have a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and the ability to restore someone's confidence to smile. I have also attained certification in several facial aesthetic courses. This means as well as dentistry I also treat patients with anti-wrinkle injections and fillers. These allow me to reduce the size of wrinkles and change the shape and size of lips. At Broomhill Dental we are committed to providing the perfect smile makeover; my patents benefit from restored dental implants and implant retained dentures, plus recent training in crown lengthening ensures you have everything you need for that smile transformation. I am an experienced Invisalign provider, the system is less painful than braces and nearly invisible leaving you to get on with your life whilst creating the perfect smile in as little as 3 months. I also have hundreds of patients who benefit from my training in Bioclear - the advanced cosmetic bonding process gives you a perfectly youthful smile. A lot of people dread coming to see the dentist and I firmly believe in trying to make the visit as stress free as possible - I look forward to meeting you.
I qualified from Glasgow University in 1990. I have worked in several dental practices across Scotland, gaining experience in a wide range of both NHS and Private procedures. I also worked at Glasgow Dental Hospital, being involved with the emergency Sunday service. Since joining Broomhill Dental Practice in 1994 as an Associate then latterly as a joint Partner, I have learned about the business side of Dentistry. I was also a dental trainer with National Health Service Education for Scotland (NES) for ten years. I am committed to my own post-graduate dental education and continue to attend dental seminars and lectures, including restoring dental implants. I will continue to work at Broomhill Dental Practice on a part-time basis.
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2012 and was awarded a commendation on my degree. I then completed my vocational training year in Dunoon before moving to Dundee and working for a short period in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department of Ninewells Hospital. Upon realising my passion was in primary care, I returned to general practice in the Merchant City of Glasgow. I worked alongside Adam for 3 years and was delighted when the opportunity arose to join the team at Broomhill Dental. Since graduating I have completed Part I of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons MJDF examinations and due to sit part II later this year. I have completed many courses in general dentistry to continue my professional development and also completed accredited training in the provision of conscious sedation. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and I plan to undertake further postgraduate training in the near future. Out with dentistry, I am kept busy with my young family!
I qualified from the university of Glasgow in 2008. Before being invited to join the team at Broomhill Dental I worked in a sedation referral practice. This gave me a great understanding of dental anxiety and how to make treatment easy for nervous patients. I am a current member of the Society of the advancement of anaesthesia in dentistry (SAAD). In addition to my sedation training I have attended many courses on restorative dentistry. keeping my skills and knowledge up to date is something I very much enjoy. I take great pride in my work and strive to deliver the best care to all my patients in a relaxed friendly manner.
