At Broomhill Dental, we want to build lasting relationships with our patients. We will be getting to know your teeth intimately, so let us start start by introducing our dentists...
My primary aim at Broomhill is to welcome each patient and to put at ease those patients who dread a visit to the dentists. I pride myself on being sympathetic, caring and happy to listen to the needs of my patients. I enjoy my work immensely; whether it’s a simple and straightforward case or more complex procedures. I offer treatment of a very high standard. Since graduating from Glasgow University in 2007 I have continued to upgrade my qualifications in areas such as teeth alignment, cosmetic dentistry and the restoration of dental implants. As of 2021, I’m studying towards an MSc in Endodontology which is the study of root canal treatment. I am now accepting endodontic referrals. Outwith dentistry, my wife and I just had a beautiful little girl called Etta who you might hear me mention!
Since qualifying from the University of Glasgow in 2007 I have dedicated my time to postgraduate training in-order to provide the latest technologies and techniques. I really enjoy all aspects of dental treatment but have a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and the ability to restore someone's confidence to smile. I have also attained certification in several facial aesthetic courses. This means as well as dentistry I also treat patients with anti-wrinkle injections and fillers. These allow me to reduce the size of wrinkles and change the shape and size of lips. At Broomhill Dental we are committed to providing the perfect smile makeover; my patents benefit from restored dental implants and implant retained dentures, plus recent training in crown lengthening ensures you have everything you need for that smile transformation. I am an experienced Invisalign provider, the system is less painful than braces and nearly invisible leaving you to get on with your life whilst creating the perfect smile in as little as 3 months. I also have hundreds of patients who benefit from my training in Bioclear - the advanced cosmetic bonding process gives you a perfectly youthful smile. A lot of people dread coming to see the dentist and I firmly believe in trying to make the visit as stress free as possible - I look forward to meeting you.
I qualified in 2008 and have had the pleasure of treating the patients of Broomhill Dental since February 2021. Having worked with both Robert and Sarah in the past I was delighted to be invited to join the practice and be part of this fantastic team. I graduated from Glasgow University with commendation and before joining Broomhill I worked in a busy family practice in Ayrshire where I gained valuable knowledge and experience in providing all aspects of general dentistry and treating a wide variety of patients of all ages. I am a very personable, caring and ethical dental professional who takes time to ensure all patients are relaxed and at ease during their visits. I am happy to discuss any dental concerns that my patients have and I am able to offer a high standard of dentistry including a range of cosmetic treatments from tooth whitening, tooth coloured fillings and crowns, as well as being trained in short term orthodontics using the Quick Straight Teeth system which is excellent in providing straight smiles for adults. I enjoy taking time to attend educational courses to keep my knowledge and skills up to date. Away from the practice my two young children and dog keep me busy and entertained.
I graduated in 2008 and joined the team at Broomhill Dental in 2018. I have recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative and Aesthetics Dentistry and am currently studying towards a diploma in this field. Keeping my skills and knowledge up to date is something I very much enjoy. I take great pride in my work and strive to deliver the best care to all my patients in a relaxed friendly manner.
I graduated from Glasgow University in 2000 and have over 20 years experience in General Practice in both England and Scotland. My approach is relaxed, informative and professional. I strive to offer predictable, aesthetic dentistry that looks good and lasts well for her patients. I believe in educating and supporting my patients to make choices that benefit their mouths and also their overall wellbeing. I hold full membership with the British Society of Occlusal Studies, a select group with a special interest in headaches, neck and shoulder pain and other common problems that can occur for patients through poor jaw relationships and poor function. In many instances patients may not be aware of the damage that is being done to their teeth or dental work from having a poor bite. I also facilitate training courses to help educate fellow professionals in this area. I'm keen on postgraduate education and have a strong commitment to lifelong learning. This commitment is to my own learning and progression as a dental professional, and also allows me to offer the best evidence-based techniques and solutions to dental problems. I gained the postgraduate MFGDP qualification in 2002 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Outside dentistry, I enjoy travelling and exploring the outdoors. I'm a keen walker and enjoys the peaks of mountains as well as a walk around the local park. I also have an interest in yoga and teach yoga classes and workshops in Glasgow.
I graduated from Edinburgh University in 1991 and following completion of vocational training, worked in various hospital jobs in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. I owned and ran five practices across Scotland Central Belt before changing direction in 2009 and embarking upon a diploma in restorative dentistry from Edinburgh Dental Institute. I gained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2012. I've been placing implants since 1998 and I have a wide experience of multiple implant systems and surgical techniques. I have mentored several dental surgeons on their journey towards implant dentistry and I have spoken widely on restorative dentistry. Outside work I enjoy family life with two young children and spending time in the Highlands outdoors. I'm happy to give my time to prospective or existing patients outside hours if they need to speak or need advice, and I firmly believe that the profession are here to serve our patients as best as we possibly can.
