FAQs

What are the arrangements for emergency appointments during Practice opening hours?

During normal Practice hours you will have access for dental emergencies. The cost for this will be £30 for initial assessment provided you’ve had an examination with us in the last year.

Denplan patients will receive all initial emergency treatment without a fee.

What happens if I have a dental emergency outwith practice opening times?

For a dental emergency, such as severe pain, abnormal swelling, excessive bleeding, and trauma. Both Denplan and Pay as you go patients may call NHS 111.

Alternatively the Practice will be operating an extensive out of hours service for both Denplan & pay-as-you-go patients by arrangement.

Denplan patients who have taken out the supplementary insurance will have exclusive access to the Denplan emergency helpline.

What happens if I have an existing dental / medical plan through my work?

We would recommend that you move to a Private pay-as-you-go patient, and claim the cost of treatment back.

What is the GP200 for that I am being asked to sign & why do I need to sign it?

This form is used to notify the NHS Local Health Board that your NHS registration is to be withdrawn for dental treatment with this Practice. If you wish to move on to Denplan or become a private pay-as-you-go patient then we need a GP200 completed at your earliest convenience.

After May 10th 2023, GP200 forms will be completed for all remaining adult NHS registered patients.
