New Approaches to Skin Treatments & Aesthetics in 2026

Beauty

We provide a range of facial aesthetics procedures at Broomhill Dental. This industry is changing fast, and we wanted to bring patients up to speed with a new approach to skin treatment and aesthetics in 2026.

Aesthetics is focusing on regeneration, not correction

Facial fillers might still be a suitable option for some patients, however we now also have polynucleotides as an alternative.

These are a different approach to aesthetics, and help improve the underlying skin at a cellular level, and help to regenerate tissue.

You might be familiar with the idea of salmon or trout DNA being used in skin treatments – this is what polynucleotides are. Polynucleotides have the following benefits:

  • Improvement in skin texture
  • More elasticity
  • Provides hydration
  • Controls inflammation
  • Improves overall dermal (skin) quality

How is polynucleotides different from fillers?

Patients who have used fillers, or know someone who has, know that the results can be immediate. This is not the case for polynucleotides. The results tend to be:

  • An improvement in hydration within 2-3 weeks
  • Collagen improvements over 4-6 weeks

We also recommend that patients have a treatment schedule of 2-4 weeks for 2-3 treatments. It is possible to combine polynucleotides with filler for a layered effect. This is up to the individual patient to discuss with the Broomhill Dental team.

How long does the treatment with polynucleotides last for?

Depending on your age and skin, you can see results for 6-9 months after treatment. You’re also able to arrange to have 6-monthly maintenance sessions.

If you’re interested in discussing this further, book an appointment for a facial aesthetics consultation with Broomhill Dental today. You’ll see one of our highly experienced specialists in a relaxed and friendly environment.
