FAQ
Q: What is hygiene treatment?
A: Periodontal (gum) disease can cause bad breath, pain and in severe cases tooth loss. Hygiene treatment is the process of improving oral hygiene and professional cleaning of the teeth to remove plaque and built up tartar/calculus. Regular dental attendance and good oral hygiene can help prevent this. If you have signs of gum disease such as bleeding gums, pain or bad breath/taste then you may require treatment.
We will show you how to care for your mouth using a toothbrush, fluoride toothpaste, floss and inter-dental brushes to help you look after your teeth and gums between visits. Brushing your teeth properly and cutting down on sugary foods and drinks can have a big impact on your dental hygiene.
Our dentists can carry out a range of teeth cleaning, teeth whitening and teeth straightening services. This means you can walk in to get advice on improving your smile and book an appointment easily at a time to suit you.
